How Fast Foods Can Increase the Risk for Cancer

A new study found that women who eat fast food are at an increased risk of cancer. A study which had been performed in the United States looked at the diet of postmenopausal women in the 1990s and then examined the occurrence of several types of cancers in the following years,

The study comes to the conclusion that having a diet that we are usually considering as being junk food or fast-food (rich in calories but with low nutritional value) increase the risk of cancer.

It is in particular noteworthy that the study found the this heightened risk doesn’t only affect overweight women but also those who have a normal weight. In other words, someone’s body weight does not protect against the risk for cancer.

The researchers are still looking into the exact relationships between diet, lifestyle and cancer risk.
